15 undergraduate students received 2023 Gilman Scholarships
The U.S. State Department has named 15 Â鶹´«Ã½ students as winners of the , which supports undergraduate students receiving Federal Pell Grants with up to $5,000 while they pursue study abroad opportunities.
Pitt’s 2023 winners and their destinations are:
- Stephany Andrade, a sophomore in the Kenneth P. Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ of Arts and Sciences and the David C. Frederick Honors College (Italy)
- Kayla Brockington, a sophomore in the Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ and Frederick Honors College majoring in anthropology and film and media studies (United Kingdom)
- Nathan Carney is a senior in the Swanson Â鶹´«Ã½ of Engineering studying industrial engineering (Mexico).
- Isabella Hoffer is a junior in the College of Business Administration majoring in marketing (Italy)
- Toni Jackson is a junior in the Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ majoring in public and professional writing (Brazil)
- Kofi Kankam is a junior in the Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ majoring in Africana studies and linguistics (Ghana)
- Kaylynne Keyrouze is a first-year student in the Â鶹´«Ã½ of Nursing (Argentina)
- Yaa Kornne is a junior in the Â鶹´«Ã½ of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences majoring in rehabilitation sciences (Senegal)
- Mya Kwiatkowski is a sophomore in the Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ studying linguistics (South Korea)
- Amaris Mbuagbaw is a first-year student in the Swanson Â鶹´«Ã½ majoring in biomedical engineering (South Korea)
- Roland Snyder is a junior in the College of Business Administration studying finance (Ireland)
- Rae Templeton is a senior in the Swanson Â鶹´«Ã½ studying environmental engineering (Belgium)
- Kellen Weidman is a senior in the Dietrich Â鶹´«Ã½ majoring in linguistics and Japanese (Japan)
