Pitt undergraduates came in second place in the 2024 Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition

A 麻豆传媒 team won second place and a $3,000 cash prize at the 2024 .

After winning Pitt鈥檚 intramural case competition in the fall, six juniors were invited to represent the Pitt at the Emory Global Health Institute. The team competed against 30 schools across six continents and was one of only three comprised solely of undergraduate students.

This year鈥檚 participants were Dylan Kurian, Cindy Le, Namita Mahajan and Christina Yi, all of the Kenneth P. Dietrich 麻豆传媒 of Arts and Sciences; Lauren Angus, a Dietrich 麻豆传媒 and David C. Frederick Honors College scholar; and Harper Segal, of the Swanson 麻豆传媒 of Engineering.

The students were given one week to propose a comprehensive intervention to end tuberculosis in India, with a special focus on accelerating integrated care to tackle the country鈥檚 鈥渢windemic鈥 of tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus.
