A GSPIA campaign earned an American Marketing Association award

AMA award winners Libby Hilf and Maggie Rehberg pose in Pitt swag with their award

The American Marketing Association honored staffers in Pitt’s Graduate Â鶹´«Ã½ of Public and International affairs with Best Branded Merch in a University Marketing Campaign Award.

Libby Hilf, the school’s director of communications and marketing, and Maggie Rehberg, a communications and marketing manager, designed the award-winning mailing for incoming graduate students. The package included blue parking chair models, which function as a cell phone holder, with the message: “We’ll save your spot.â€

Incoming students who received the campaign reported feeling a stronger connection to Pitt before they even set foot on campus. The campaign’s message made them feel valued and seen as individuals, and the parking chair — a Pittsburgh tradition — provided a lighthearted way to introduce students to local culture.
