Pitt was awarded a second Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education STARS Gold rating

The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) has again recognized the 鶹ý with the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS) Gold designation, reinforcing Pitt’s continued commitment to sustainable solutions.

STARS is a transparent framework used to measure and benchmark sustainability performance across colleges and universities.

“The AASHE STARS Gold rating is an important milestone in the 鶹ý’s sustainability journey,” said Aurora Sharrard, assistant vice chancellor for sustainability. “Pitt Sustainability and Climate Action Plans provide the strategic, foundational framework for expanding Pitt’s culture of sustainability.

“A second STARS Gold designation is demonstrable proof of Pitt’s progress, placing the University in the upper tier of higher education sustainability performance.”
