Daffodils in front of the Cathedral of Learning

Open benefits enrollment for Â鶹´«Ã½ faculty and staff is May 1-15, except for bargaining unit faculty who will have a separate open enrollment period to be announced at a later date. This once-a-year opportunity to make changes to your benefits is the best time to review your elections, ensure current dependents are listed and confirm your beneficiaries are up-to-date.

What's new in 2024

There will be no changes to overall plan design or coverage offerings for covered employee groups during this open enrollment period for University-sponsored health and wellness plans. Some premium rates will see increases based on employment status; those changes are specified in the online plan documents.

More opportunities to save on prescriptions

UPMC Health Plan and the Express Scripts prescription program have partnered with Good Rx to introduce Price Assure, which integrates programs that find deals into your prescription benefits. This program does not require additional opt-in, but any policyholders who do not want to share their information with GoodRx may opt-out by contacting Benefits Management Services at 888-499-6885.

A new vaccination incentive

Starting with the new plan year, receiving a COVID-19 vaccine will be included in the list of activities that contribute points towards Health Incentive Reward Dollars.
