All University graduate students are encouraged to apply for the second annual , hosted by the Joseph M. Katz Graduate Â鶹´«Ã½ of Business. This year’s challenge will address hunger.
This competition presents an opportunity for all grad students to harness the power of data analytics to serve as catalysts for change. Students from unique backgrounds will team up to frame a problem, create a data methodology and generate operable proposals for solutions. In addition, students will interact with a variety of senior technology and data executives at Fortune 500 corporations and local community organizations.
The focused on homelessness in the Pittsburgh area. The winning team included Master of Science students who each won a Bridge Program fellowship supported by Accenture in collaboration with an Atlanta-based nonprofit Love Beyond Walls, which has manufactured and deployed portable hand-washing stations for use in urban centers.
For the 2022 challenge, Katz will host an informational session on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. ET in Mervis Hall 114 and via Zoom to outline the competition, time commitment, benefits and application process. .
The application for this year’s competition will launch around Nov. 17.
