A new semester dawns

You loved of the dawning (yes, literal dawn) of the first day of classes this past fall semester. The only thing better than a beautiful shot of the Cathedral of Learning (or Cathy, depending on your preference) is a 360-degree shot of the Cathedral of Learning.

The best of the Backyard Brawl

We told WVU to let those country roads take them all the way back home in the 2022 edition of the Backyard Brawl at Acrisure Stadium. The game was an instant classic, with seven lead changes throughout play keeping us all biting our nails. That said, , winning the game 38-31.

A lot of stadiums do their own take on “,” but we all know Pitt fans are undefeated at the tradition.

‘Pitt Man’ Louis Riddick at Commencement

Former Panthers Football letterman and NFL broadcaster Louis Riddick returned to his alma mater to and hard-earned wisdom from a lifetime betting on himself. His candid and genuine commencement speech struck a chord with the thousands of 2022 graduates and their families who gathered in the Petersen Events Center in May.

“Stay the course, reinvent, be bold, surround yourself with positive people who want to positively reinforce you. Don't worry about the doubters, they’ll always be out there. Continually push forward to strive. Don’t let anyone tell you what success is supposed to look like for you.”

A tweet from the 鶹ý shows Louis Riddick delivering a speech. The text reads An enormous thank you again to Pitt Man (& now doctor!) @LRiddickESPN for bringing an inspiring and real Commencement address to #PittGrad22.

If Pitt was a...

We hopped on a popular September to tell you what we think Pitt would be if it was a city (Pittsburgh, duh), season of the year (autumn), an element (fire), study spot (hammock) and color (blue and gold). The trend paired the song “Run Kid Run” by Woodkid with at least 96 eye-popping photos, which we selected from the great work of our University photographers.
